Adult Education Classes

Seminars and courses throughout the year let you explore your own spirituality--and a variety of other topics. Programs on various aspects of Unitarian Universalism and other spiritual traditions have been offered. Environmental issues, social action and self improvement courses are popular. Past topics have included:

  • Building your own theology
  • Yoga
  • Meditation
  • Global warming
  • Feminist theology
  • Emerson and other New England Unitarian philosophers

In addition, every Sunday from 9 to 10 a.m.--except during summer--everyone is invited to our Forum discussions. Open to the public, these gatherings cover a wide range of topics from religion to current events to practical living.

The informal sessions feature speakers or discussion leaders--often experts in their fields. Coffee and snacks are served and everyone is encouraged to participate in the discussions. A few of the past topics include: world peace making, ways to reduce electricity use, organic gardening, mysticism, Hinduism, Sierra Club projects and immigration.
